CITY OF GEM LAKE, RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 108 <br />AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE ISTS ORDINANCE (NO. 67B) TO REQUIRE <br />ANNUAL INSPECTION OF INDIVIDUAL SEPTIC SYSTEMS. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEM LAKE ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Amend Sections 7.4 and 7.4.1 of Ordinance 67B to read as, <br />follows (deleted text struck through, new text undefined): <br />Section 7.4. Bs -Annual Required Inspections. The Septage InsPector shall inspect ail ISTS in the City <br />on or before the first day of September (September 1st) in each even numbered (1998, 2000, 2002, etc) <br />year toinsure that each ISTS in the City is in good operating condition and . in compliance with the <br />operating requirements.: of this Ordinance. <br />Section 7.4.1. Cost Of Ri-Annual Inspection. The cost of # .i-Annual :Inspection of ISTS in the <br />City shall be the sole responsibility of the Property Owner and shall be as established by the City <br />of Gem Lake Council and from time to time .amended by resolution. An invoice for fees <br />associated with B-i--Annual Inspections Gill be provided at the time of inspection by the Septage <br />Inspector. Any fees for -B-i-Annual Inspection which remainunpaid for more than sixty (60) days <br />by the Property Owner to the City may, alongwith related administrative fees, be certified to <br />Ramsey County for assessment against the real property upon which the ISTS is located. <br />SECTION 2. CONFORMING AMENDMENT. The City Clerk is directed to revise any <br />references within Ordinance. 67B: toother sections of the Ordinance and to another Gem Lake <br />Ordinances to reflect current numbering. <br />SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. Should any section, subdivision, clause or other .provision <br />of this Ordinance be held to be invalid in any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall <br />not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole, or of any part hereof: other than the part held <br />to be invalid. <br />SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.
