Mayor Uzpen suggested putting this information in the March <br />newsletter to let the residents know that there will be a new animal control company to <br />call if there are any problems. For the April issue, it was suggested that there be an <br />article regarding the clean-up day in May. It was also suggested to put in the April <br />newsletter something on spring yard cleaning and not to throw leaves in the street. A <br />new sign is being installed for the City of Gem Lake. The maximum purchase price will <br />be $3,000 and the cost will be split 75/25 between Gem Lake and White Bear <br />Township. Mayor Uzpen will request a bid from Gopher Sign. In addition, a story on <br />the number of service calls from the Sherriff department and how the numbers have <br />gone down from last year. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />None, <br />NEW BUSINESS. <br />Claims for March: The bills for March were discussed and authorized to pay. <br />Councilmember asked about the Hillary Farm bill and Mayor Uzpen explained it was <br />paying the left over escrow money back. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig- <br />Swomley and seconded by Councilmember Bosak, motion passes. Ayes — 5, Nays — 0. <br />Monthly Financial Reports: The City Council received and reviewed the report. Mayor <br />Uzpen will talk to Jesse Hart, Gem Lake Finance Director regarding the balance of <br />money in the checking account.
