CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />4200 Otter Lake Road <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />Telephone 651-747-2790 <br />E-mail Citvra)gemlakeMN.org <br />Minutes of Gem Lake City Council Meeting <br />15 November 2011 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gem Lake was called to order by Mayor <br />Uzpen on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the Gem Lake City Hall meeting room. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Robert Uzpen, Councilmembers James Lindner, <br />Gretchen Artig-Swomley, Richard Bosak and Thomas Rasmussen. Members of the public <br />attending per the sign in sheet sent around the room. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MEETING MINUTES <br />City Council Agenda: Mayor Uzpen called for additions, deletions and corrections to the <br />agenda. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Bosak, the agenda was approved for November 15, 2011. <br />Ayes-5, Nays-0. <br />City Council October Meeting Minutes: The October 2011 minutes were presented and <br />corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Lindner, the minutes of October 2011 were accepted with corrections being <br />made. Ayes —5, Nays — 0. <br />Planning Commission October Meeting Minutes: The Planning Commission October <br />minutes were presented and corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember <br />Bosak, and seconded by Councilmember Lindner, the October Planning Commission minutes <br />were accepted. Ayes — 5 Nays — 0. <br />Planning Commission Chair Report: Chairperson Faith Kuny was absent, but sent the <br />report to the City Council. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Newsletter: Councilmember Artig-Swomley is going to do an article on the Budget and fees <br />for 2012. Also a story on the new sign for the City of Gem Lake. Councilmember Artig- <br />Swomley will be writing a story on the Public Safety Ordinance. It was suggested doing a story <br />on the wild Life and the residents who document the animals that go through Gem Lake. <br />There will be an article reminding the residents that the streets will be plowed when the <br />snowfall is two inches or more. <br />
