City of Gem Lake <br />Resolution NO. 2011-14 <br />20 December 2011 <br />A RESOLUTION EMPOWERING THE GEM LAKE CITY CLERK TO MAKE <br />APPLICATION TO RAMSEY COUNTY FOR PARTICIPATION IN. FUNDING <br />MADE AVAILABLE AS HEREINAFTER KNOWN AS "SCORE GRANT". <br />Whereas, The City of Gem Lake currently operates a Municipal Curbside Recycling Program for <br />all single family residences within the City; and <br />Whereas, the City. Council realizes that increased public awareness, education and participation <br />in this program is in the best interests of all citizens and wishes to expand the current program <br />within the administrative guidelines established for current City staff; and <br />Whereas, the Division of Solid Waste of the St. Paul -Ramsey County Department of Public <br />Health has made certain funds available for qualified recycling programs within Ramsey County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the. City of Gem Lake hereby <br />empowers the City Clerk to apply annually for any and all Score Funding or other such grants as <br />may be made available from time to time by other agencies for the sole purpose of expanding <br />resident participation in the Gem Lake Municipal Recycling Program; arid <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That said funds shallbe used in such a manner as recommended by <br />the City's Recycling Coordinator as approved by the City Council. <br />The foregoing Resolution was offered by Councilor and supported by <br />Councilor and was declared adopted based upon the following vote: <br />Name <br />Vote <br />Uzpen <br />Lindner Rasmussen Bosak <br />Artig-Swomley <br />ATTEST <br />1, Bill Short, the duly qualified City Clerk of the City of Gem Lake, County of Ramsey, State of <br />Minnesota, do hereby certify that the foregoing.
