A profile story on Justin, but is waiting for him to return her calls. <br />Planning Commission Chair Faith Kuny suggested a story on the new restaurant <br />LaRoma's opening. In addition a story on the increased numbers of coyotes being. <br />spotted in Gem Lake. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />None <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Discussion on the Sheriff's Contract: Councilmember Artig-Swomley was at the <br />meeting a month ago and eight Officers attended, which was pleasing to see the <br />support of Ramsey County. Mayor Uzpen was concerned regarding the burglarizing <br />and no follow-up. in addition, the mail thief was brought up and they assured <br />Councilmember Artig-Swomley that they would be following up and check with dispatch <br />on these issues. Another complaint was the high traffic and speed around Gem Lake. <br />They will enforce that issue more than before. It was discussed that Gem Lake feels <br />they are not getting patrolling like the contract states. They will work on that and riot to <br />expect more than before. It was a good meeting and they are aware of the issues and <br />will work on them. <br />Claims for February: The claims for February were discussed and authorized to pay. <br />Upon motion by Councilmember Bosak and seconded by Councilmernber Lindner, <br />motion passes. Ayes — 4, Nays --- 0. <br />Monthly Financial Reports: The City Council received and reviewed the report. There <br />were no questions from the City Council. <br />PRESENTATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />None <br />OPEN ITEMS FROM THE CITY COUNCIL <br />Councilmember Lindner wrote an article about the White gear Lake sewer system was <br />approved for publication in the Ramsey County History magazine.
