Hanson, Chair, called the meeting to .order at 7:35 a.m. The <br />following members were present: <br />- Jerry Bergeron, Commander, Ramsey County Sheriff's Department <br />- Jim Daly, Lieutenant, Ramsey County sheriff's Department <br />--Dick Dornbusch, Lieutenant, Ramsey County Sheriff's Department <br />- Bill Ecklund, City of north Oaks <br />- Joel Hanson, City of Little Canada <br />- Dorothy Person, City of Arden Hills <br />- Georgie Schulte, Ramsey County Risk Management <br />- Bill Short, White Bear Township <br />- Ken Splittsoeser, Traffic Deputy, Ramsey County Sheriff's Dept. <br />- Gerry Urban, City of Vadnais Heights <br />APPROVAL OP MINUTES <br />The Minutes of March 22, 1994 were approved with one correction: <br />Page 1 Animal Control Services, second paragraph change "contact" <br />to "contract". <br />INSURANCE RENEWALS <br />Georgie Schulte reported on the status of the 1994 insurance <br />policies for police professional liability, auto and worker <br />compensation. She indicated that she is seeking quotes from the <br />Minnesota Counties Insurance Trust, who she believes, will offer <br />the same coverage at a lower cost. She summarized the ourrent <br />carriers as follows: <br />Auto: National Indemnity (expires April 5, 1994) <br />Police Professional Liability: Illinois Insurance Exchange <br />(expires April 5, 1994). <br />Workers Compensation: State Fund (expires May 1, 1994) <br />Georgie informed the group that the workers compensation experience <br />modifier went up from 0.9 to 1.09, due she thought, to a few minor <br />claims, <br />GRANT APPLICATION <br />Commander Bergeron stated that there is nothing certain to report. <br />However, he did note that he had heard unofficially of some <br />positive comments made about the application by the reviewing <br />agency. <br />
