After <br />our positive experience with Children's Hospital, <br />we started this event as a tribute to our three <br />healthy children and to help those less fortunate <br />than ourselves. <br />To date, the event has netted over $22,100 for <br />chronically ill children. The success of this <br />benefit is due in large part to the incredible <br />outpouring of support by sponsors, players, <br />committee members and our community. <br />The proceeds from this year's event will again be <br />used by Children's Hospital of St. Paul in the <br />Transitional Care Program which addresses the <br />complex needs of children who are medically <br />fragile and technology dependent. This program is <br />designed to prepare a family to care for their <br />child at home and to provide ongoing support as <br />long as needed. <br />We are asking the City of Gem Lake to approve our <br />gambling license for a one day raffle to be held <br />the day of the event. We would be happy to attend <br />the meeting and answer any questions that the City <br />Council might have. <br />We thank you for your consideration and look <br />forward to your commitment on May 16..
