City of Gem Lake <br />Resolution NO. 201 O-Y 7 <br />16 November 2010 <br />A RESOLUTION EMPOWERING THE GEM LAKE CITY CLERK TO MAKE <br />APPLICATION TO RAMSEY COUNTY FOR PARTICIPATION IN FUNDING <br />MADE AVAILABLE AS HEREINAFTER KNOWN AS " SCORE GRANT". <br />Whereas, The City of Gem Lame currently operates a Municipal Curbside <br />Recycling Program for all single family residences within the City; and <br />Whereas, the City Council realizes that increased public awareness, education <br />and participation in this. program is in the best interests of all citizens and wishes <br />to expand the current program within the administrative guidelines established <br />for current City staff; and <br />Whereas; the Division of Solid Waste of the St..Paul-Ramsey County Department <br />of Public Health has made certain funds available for qualified recycling <br />programs within Ramsey County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake <br />hereby empowers the City Clerk to apply annually for any and all Score Funding <br />or other such grants as may be made available from time to time by other <br />agencies for the sole purpose of expanding resident participation in the Gem <br />.Lake Municipal Recycling Program: and: <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That said `funds shall be used in such a manner as <br />recommended by the City's Recycling Coordinator as approved by the City <br />Council. <br />The foregoing.
