City of Gem Lake Resolution NO. 201 O-Y 7 16 November 2010 A RESOLUTION EMPOWERING THE GEM LAKE CITY CLERK TO MAKE APPLICATION TO RAMSEY COUNTY FOR PARTICIPATION IN FUNDING MADE AVAILABLE AS HEREINAFTER KNOWN AS " SCORE GRANT". Whereas, The City of Gem Lame currently operates a Municipal Curbside Recycling Program for all single family residences within the City; and Whereas, the City Council realizes that increased public awareness, education and participation in this. program is in the best interests of all citizens and wishes to expand the current program within the administrative guidelines established for current City staff; and Whereas; the Division of Solid Waste of the St..Paul-Ramsey County Department of Public Health has made certain funds available for qualified recycling programs within Ramsey County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake hereby empowers the City Clerk to apply annually for any and all Score Funding or other such grants as may be made available from time to time by other agencies for the sole purpose of expanding resident participation in the Gem .Lake Municipal Recycling Program: and: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That said `funds shall be used in such a manner as recommended by the City's Recycling Coordinator as approved by the City Council.
