City of Gem Lake City Council Meeting minutes, April 18, 2017 Page 2 <br /> <br />Mr. Short was not present to answer questions from the Council. Attorney Kelly advised to send a letter <br />to Mr. Short to move to request an extension to the May, 2017, City Council meeting. Councilmember <br />Artig-Swomley made a motion to send a letter to Mr. Short requesting an extension till the May 16, <br />2017, City Council meeting, seconded by Councilmember Lindner, motion passed. A letter will be sent <br />to Mr. Short requesting an extension to the May 16, 2017, City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Approval of Hansen LCC Garden Permit <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Bosak, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve the <br />Interim Use Permit for the Garden Overlay for Bryan Hansen’s property on County Road E. Motion <br />passed. Garden Overlay Permit approved. <br /> <br />Bear Roofing, 3815 Scheuneman Road <br />Greg Fry, Bear Roofing, Inc. and owner of rental property at 3815 Scheuneman Road requested <br />permission to have his subcontractor who lives at 3815 Scheuneman Road store trailers overnight and <br />transport two trailers from 3815 Scheuneman Road to job sites and back. Trailers would contain roofing <br />shingles and nails and would be tarped. Councilmember Artig-Swomley made a motion, seconded by <br />Councilmember Bosak to deny Bear Roofing permission to store trailers at 3815 Scheuneman Road, to <br />do so would violate ordinance 85. Request denied. <br /> <br />Update on the purchase of Tom Hansen’s field <br />Daniels Farm Road ownership is in the process of verification. <br /> <br />Claims for April, 2017 <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Bosak to approve the <br />claims for April, 2017. Motion passed. Claims approved. <br /> <br />Monthly Financial Reports <br />Approved. <br /> <br />Presentations by the Public <br />Paul Emeott asked the Council about well water testing. Several years ago the City of Gem Lake offered <br />well water testing. Mr. Emeott requested that the City offer this service again. <br /> <br />Open Items for the Councilmembers to bring up <br />Councilmember Lindner updated the Council on the land use ordinance, should be ready by May. Hillary <br />Farm builders need to be reminded of hours of construction in Gem Lake. A letter will be sent. <br /> <br />Next Meetings <br />City of Gem Lake Workshop for Monday, May 8, 7:00 p.m. Next City Council meeting, Tuesday, May 16, <br />7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br />Being there no further business, following a motion by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by <br />Councilmember Bosak, the meeting adjourned at 8:11 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, Gloria Tessier
