City of Gem Lake City Council Meeting minutes, August 15, 2017 Page 2 <br /> <br />Deer Hunting Permit, 7 Daniels Farm Road, Anthony Scornavacco <br />Mr. Scornavacco asked the council if the members of the hunting party could introduce themselves and <br />state their qualifications. Introductions were made and noted. A motion was made by Councilmember <br />Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Kuny to approve the request for archery deer hunting on <br />October 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 28, 29, 30, motion passed. Hunt approved. Councilmember Artig- <br />Swomley reminded the Mr. Scornavacco of the reporting forms that need to be filed with the city at the <br />completion of the hunt. <br /> <br />Approval of Northwest Associated Consultant, Inc. Contract to complete the 2018 Comp Plan <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve <br />the contract with Northwest Associated Consultant, Inc. to assist the City of Gem Lake with the <br />completion of the 2018 comprehensive plan. Motion passed. Contract approved. <br /> <br />Claims for the month of August, 2017 <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to approve <br />the claims for August, 2017. Motion passed. Claims approved. <br /> <br />Monthly Financial Reports <br />Approved. Council agreed to make a $1,000 donation to the White Bear Lake Food Shelf and $1000 <br />donation to the Meals on Wheels program from the charitable gambling fund. Noted that charitable <br />gambling funds can only be utilized for charitable donations. <br /> <br />Presentations from the Public <br />Richard Pientka, question-previous proposal for development on County Road E, Roberta Pientka, <br />question-deer hunting, Cal Johnson, question-previous proposed development on County Road E, <br />clarification $200 tax increase associated with proposal, Gloria Tessier, question addressed to George <br />Jungmann, signs on his vehicle, Carol Schacht, question-Northwest Associated Consultant contract. <br /> <br />Next Meetings <br />City of Gem Lake Workshop for Monday, September 11, 7:00 p.m. Next City Council meeting, Tuesday, <br />September 19, 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br />Being there no further business, following a motion by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by <br />Councilmember Kuny, the meeting adjourned at 7:52 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, Gloria Tessier
