City of Gem Lake City Council Meeting minutes, October 17, 2017 Page 2 <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Kuny to approve <br />Resolution 2017-16, Certifying Delinquent Sewer Charges. Motion passed. Resolution approved. <br /> <br />Resolution 2017-17 Certifying Delinquent Fire Charges <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Kuny to approve <br />Resolution 2017-17, Certifying Delinquent Fire Charges with the removal of 34-30-22-12-0016. Motion <br />passed. Resolution approved. <br /> <br />Resolution 2017-18 Certifying Delinquent Septic Charges <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Kuny to approve <br />Resolution 2017-18, Certifying Delinquent Septic Charges. Motion passed. Resolution approved. <br /> <br />Claims for the month of October, 2017 <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Kuny, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve the <br />claims for October, 2017. Motion passed. Claims approved. <br /> <br />Monthly Financial Reports <br />Approved. <br /> <br />Presentations from the Public <br />Shawn Pehrson, 4140 Otter Lake Road, sanitary sewer request. The City agreed to allow a connection <br />per the City Engineer recommendations which are: <br />• Create an agreement that will allow this parcel and this parcel only to connect into the MH on <br />Scheuneman Rd; <br />• The agreement will need to include the assessment to his parcel for sewer connection; <br />• The agreement will need to include the SEH review, approval, inspection and engineering fees <br />for the work to be performed by his contractor; <br />• The agreement will need to include the attorney’s fees involved in drafting the agreement; <br />• The agreement will need to include language that will make the parcel responsible for any <br />damage, maintenance, etc. to the manhole; <br />• If the property sells the agreement goes with the property; <br />• The property owner removes the shed on the property; <br />• A cost estimate of $17,000 was given. The fees would be paid in a certified check before any <br />permits are issued. <br />Mr. Pehrson was directed to have his attorney contact the City Attorney. A motion was made by <br />Councilmember Linder, seconded by Councilmember Kuny to accept the City Engineers <br />recommendations for 4140 Otter Lake Road. Motion passed. Recommendations accepted. <br />Mayor Uzpen stated that if any property within the City of Gem Lake who wishes to have city sewer <br />and/or water, they can create a petition and present it to the city council following the petition <br />guidelines. <br />Next Meetings <br />City of Gem Lake Workshop for Monday, November 13.
