City of Gem Lake <br />Special City Council Meeting – Wednesday, January 28, 2015 <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />Called to order: <br />The special Gem Lake City Council meeting was called to order by acting mayor Artig-Swomley at 7:00 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Roll call: Artig-Swomley, Lindner, Kuny, Bosak-present. Uzpen, absent. City Attorney, Patrick Kelly. <br /> <br />Approval of the agenda: <br />Upon motion by Linder and seconded by Lindner, the agenda was approved by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Sign in sheet: <br />Mike Greenbaum, Newtrax, Inc., Jack Mayeron, Barnett Companies. <br /> <br />Artig-Swomley invited the council to comment on the non-conforming use permit – Barnett <br />Properties/Jack Mayeron for Newtrax, P.A.I. & Merrick Inc. The council agreed they liked the idea of a <br />60 month effective permit. Comments were then invited from the public. <br /> <br />Mike Greenbaum, Newtrax, thanked the City Council and the Planning Commission for their <br />accommodations. Mr. Greenbaum pointed out that Newtrax is a member organization and requested <br />that the Non-Conforming Use Permit state Newtrax and its Member Organizations. Mr. Jack Mayeron <br />said this was not a retail operation, they would only be doing maintenance on Newtrax and their <br />member organization vehicles. Public comments were then closed. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Lindner, Seconded by Kuny, the permit was adjusted to be Newtrax and its member <br />organizations, item 3. Changed to: Permit is effective February 1, 2015, item 4. Changed to: Permit <br />shall expire on January 31, 2020. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Artig-Swomley welcomed Newtrax to Gem Lake and requested featuring their business in <br />a future issue of Gem Lake News. <br /> <br />Adjournment: <br />Being there no further business, following a motion by Lindner, seconded by Artig-Swomley, acting <br />mayor Artig-Swomley adjourned the meeting at 7:11 after a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br /> <br />
