City of Gem Lake City Council meeting minutes, Tuesday, August 18, 2015 Page 1 <br /> <br />City of Gem Lake <br /> City Council Meeting – Tuesday, August 18, 2015 <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmembers Artig-Swomley, Bosak, Kuny and <br />Lindner were present. Others in attendance: City Engineer, Justin Gese; City Finance Director Tom Kelly, <br />members of the community; Amber Hom, Andres Ugrin, M. Landserdee, Sanibel Dance Company. <br /> <br />August 13, 2015, Agenda <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Bosak to approve the Agenda. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Bosak to add the <br />minutes for the Special City Council meeting for July 13, 2015, to the Agenda. Motion passed. <br />Councilmember Lindner made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Kuny to approve the minutes for <br />the Special City Council meeting on July 13, 2015, motion passed. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve <br />the minutes for the July 21, 2105, City Council meeting, motion passed. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br />None <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br />Newsletter ideas – preliminary budget, water update, recycling, dog licenses, feasibility study, planning <br />specs, new resident. <br /> <br />Budget <br /> <br />City Finance Director Tom Kelly presented the proposed budget report. At 7:30 p.m. Mayor Uzpen <br />opened the public hearing on the Preliminary Budget, no public comments were made, the public <br />hearing closed at 7:31 p.m. Councilmember Lindner made a motion to approve Resolution 2015 -13, <br />adopting the preliminary amount to be raised by property taxation for the year 2016, seconded by <br />Councilmember Bosak. Voice vote – all yes, motion passed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Artig-Swomley made a motion to accept Resolution 2015-14, a resolution of intent to <br />reimburse, seconded by Councilmember Lindner, voice vote, all yes, motion passed. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
