Minutes of Gem Lake City Council meeting, July 15, 2014 <br /> <br />Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM <br />Present: Mayor Uzpen, Council members Lindner, Artig-‐Swomley, Kuny, and Bosak. A sign in sheet was <br />provided but no one in attendance signed in. Angie Gonzalez and Alejandro Ruiz plus another person <br />were in attendance. <br />July agenda <br />Mayor Uzpen asked for additions to the July agenda. Motion by Artig-‐Swomley and seconded by Bosak <br />the agenda was approved 5-‐0. <br />June City Council minutes <br />Upon motion by Artig-‐Swomley and seconded by Bosak the June minutes were approved, with minor <br />corrections to attendance list, 5-‐0. <br />Committee reports – none <br />Old business <br />City newsletter for July-‐August, 2014. Several topics including Hilary Farm homes and resident profiles, <br />budget, Ordinance 107A, election, the city’s work with SEH for Phase II pollution cleanup grant, and well <br />sealing. <br />New business <br />Resolution 2014-‐09. There was general discussion on the revised Gateway ordinance and the extension <br />that allows Hi Tech Auto to continue operating. Upon a motion by Lindner, seconded by Artig-‐Swomley <br />Mayor Uzpen conducted a voice vote. Uzpen: Yes, Lindner: No, Kuny: No, Artig-‐Swomley: No, Bosak: <br />Yes. The motion failed 2-‐3. It was requested that city attorney Patrick Kelly be in attendance at the next <br />council meeting. <br />July claims. Upon motion by Lindner and seconded by Bosak the council voted to approve the claims for <br />July 5-‐0. <br />Night to Unite Resolution. Upon a motion by Lindner and seconded by Bosak the council voted to <br />approve the 2014 Night to Unite resolution 5-‐0. <br />Mayor Uzpen presented the July financial report and general discussion followed. <br />Presentations from the public – Angie Gonzalez representing Hi Tech Auto and Mayor Uzpen had a <br />general discussion on the history of discussions between the city and Hi Tech Auto related to the
