CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />4200 Otter Lake Road <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />Telephone 651�747-2.790 <br />E-mail Citv(i)gemlakeMN.org <br />Gem Lake Planning Commission Meeting <br />6 December 2011 <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Gem Lake was called to <br />order by Chairperson Faith Kuny on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 7:08 p.m. at <br />the Gem Lake City Hall conference room. <br />The following members were present: Chairperson Faith Kuny, and Planning <br />Commissioners Derrick Wippich, Arthur Pratt, and Dan Marier. Commissioner <br />Herzog arrived during the meeting. <br />Planning Commission Agenda: Chairperson Kuny asked for any changes, <br />deletions, or added agenda items. None was given and upon motion by <br />Commissioner Herzog and seconded by Commissioner Wippich; the December <br />6, 2011 agenda was approved. Ayes — 4, Nays — 0. <br />November Planning Commission Minutes: The November Planning <br />Commission minutes were reviewed and corrections were needed. Upon motion <br />by Commissioner Wippich. and seconded by Commissioner Pratt, the..November <br />minutes were approved. <br />Ayes-- 4, Nays — Q., <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Zoning Permit for La Romo Restaurant: Chairperson Kuny stated Gem Lake <br />will be using the restricted ordinance. The restaurant will be submitting a <br />development plan. Tom Riedesel from White Bear Township suggested a site <br />plan, showing the screened garbage area and a lighting plan for inside the <br />restaurant. At this time parking is the issue. There should be one parking spot <br />for every three (3) seats in the restaurant, making it a total of eight (8) parking <br />spaces. Upon motion by Commissioner Wippich and seconded by <br />Commissioner Pratt, the Planning Commission approved parking with seven (7) <br />spaces per 1,000 square feet for parking. Ayes -- 4, Nays - 0. <br />The Planning Commission discussed and recommended that the. Zoning <br />Administrator approve the Zoning Compliance permit, Upon motion by <br />Commissioner Marier, and seconded by Commissioner Pratt, motion passes. <br />Ayes-4, Nays 0.. <br />
