Ask questions and directly interact with the <br />state agency charged with overseeing these laws. <br />9 <br /> PERA SVF Plan Benefits and Costs <br />Doug Anderson, Executive Director, MN PERA <br /> <br />A Public Employee Retirement Association (PERA) <br />Statewide Volunteer Firefighter (SVF) plan benefit <br />level is the dollar amount corresponding to each <br />year of a volunteer firefighter's certified <br />service. The fire department's governing body has <br />the authority to approve benefit level increases for <br />the fire department. A panel <br />of Data Practices Office staff and clerks will <br />discuss best practices, provide tips, and answer <br />your questions. Topics include organizing large- <br />scale requests that involve multiple departments, <br />anonymous requests, communicating with <br />frequent flyer requestors, and more.
