After talking with Tom Kelly, I realized that some of the hours I plan to take will be for next years cumulative hours worked because they fall on the last paycheck of the year which gets paid out in 2025. These hours will technically county towards 2025 hours used and not 2024. This means that for me not to lose any vacation days Tom suggested I reach out to the Council and request that 4 days (32 hours), be added to the carryover limit for this year to ensure that I do not lose those hours. Once that week has passed, Tom or BS&A Support would go back in and change the threshold back to 160 hours. I will do better in 2025 to manage my vacation hours so that I don’t have to rush to take so many at the end of the year so that I do not lose them.
