Lake Resolution No. 2009-17 17 November 2009 A RESOLUTION EMPOWERING THE GEM LAKE CITY CLERK TO MAKE APPLICATION TO RAMSEY.COUNTY FOR PARTICIPATION IN FUNDING MADE AVAILABLE AS HEREINAFTER KNOWN AS "SCORE GRANT". Whereas;: The City of Gem lake currently operates a Municipal Curbside Recycling:Program for all single family residences within the City; and Whereas, the City Council realizes. that increased public awareness, education and participation in this program is in the best interests of all citizens and wishes to expand the current.program within the administrative guidelines established for current. City staff, and Whereas, the Division of Solid Waste: of the St. Paul -Ramsey County Department of Public Health has made certain funds available forqualified recycling programs within Ramsey County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem . Lake hereby empowers the City Clerk to apply annually for any and all Score Funding or other such grants as maybe made available from ti.rrme to time by other agencies for the sole purpose of expanding resident participation in the. Gem Lake. Municipal Recycling. Program; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That said funds shall be used in such a manner as recommended by the City's Recycling Coordinator as approved by the City Council.
