CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />4200 Otter Lake Road <br />Gem Lake, Minnesota 55110 <br />RESOLUTION NO.2019-08 <br />SEPTEMBER 17, 2019 <br />WM <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PRELIMINARY AMOUNT TO BE RAISED BY <br />PROPERTY TAXATION FOR THE YEAR 2020 <br />WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has presented a (Proposed) General Fund Budget of $563,288.00 <br />which includes a (Proposed) General Tax Levy of $496,938.00 and a Debt Tax Levy of $81,835.00 <br />for fiscal and calendar year 2020 based upon best estimates of costs for running the City of Gem <br />Lake in 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, these estimates were reviewed by the City Council on 17 September, 2019 and <br />amended based upon best information received from outside contractors and input from the City <br />Council <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake does <br />formally adopt the 2020 Preliminary General Fund Budget of $563,288.00 which includes a <br />Preliminary General Tax Levy of $496,938.00 and a Preliminary Debt Levy of $81,835.00 for 2020 <br />as prepared by the City Treasurer and amended by the City Council; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is charged with Certifying said Tax and Debt <br />Levy to Ramsey County Property Taxation and other government bodies for whom this information <br />is required. <br />The foregoing Resolution was offered by Councilor Lindner and was supported by <br />Councilor Artig-Swomley and was declared adopted based upon the following vote: <br />NAME <br />UZPEN <br />CACIOPPO <br />LINDNER <br />KUNY <br />ARTIG- <br />SWOMLEY <br />Vote <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Attest <br />1, Gloria Tessier, the duly qualified Acting City Clerk for the City of Gem Lake, County of <br />Ramsey, State of Minnesota, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a true and accurate <br />representation of action taken by the City Council of the City of Gem Lake on the date first written. <br />17 September 2019 <br />GL RIA TESSIER, Acting City Clerk <br />Look for us on the World Wide Web at gemlakemn.org <br />
