Updated June 2025 – Gem Lake Consolidated Land Use Ordinance No. 131 17 <br /> <br /> <br />1. A side yard abutting a street shall not be less than twenty (20’) feet. <br /> <br />2. That portion of a lot considered as the front yard shall be as determined by the City Council. <br /> <br />3. All Residential structures shall be setback at least one-hundred (100') feet from the ordinary high water <br />level of the lake and its attendant wetlands. The ordinary high water level of the lake shall be as <br />determined by the City Council. <br /> <br />2. The following structures can be erected within set-backs as long as no part of the structure is closer to the front of <br />the lot than the rear of the principal structure: <br /> <br />1. Fences. <br /> <br />2. Patios, fireplaces, sheds and pools. <br />
