City of Gem Lake City Council Meeting Minutes September 16, 2025 3 <br />Councilmember Johnson will be in attendance. <br /> <br />Tuesday, October 28, 2025 – White Bear Preserve Condo Association <br />Councilmember Johnson will be in attendance. <br /> <br />Archery Deer Hunting Applications <br />5 Daniels Farm Road <br /> <br />A permit request for a hunt on private property located at 5 Daniels Farm Road was received. The requested <br />dates of the hunt will be October 30-November 1, November 7-9, and November 14-16. The hunting party <br />consists of 9 hunters, all of which have obtained their Bow Hunters Certification and a MN DNR Hunting <br />License. Deer stand locations were given and consent of neighbors has been received. <br /> <br />A motion was introduced by Councilmember Johnson to approve the Archery Deer Hunting application at 5 <br />Daniels Farm Road, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />7 & 11 Daniels Farm Road <br />A permit request for a hunt on private property located at 7 & 11 Daniels Farm Road was received. The <br />requested dates of the hunt will be October 3-5, November 1-3, and November 14-16. The hunting party <br />consists of 13 hunters, all of which have obtained their Bow Hunters Certification and a MN DNR Hunting <br />License. Deer stand locations were given and consent of neighbors has been received. <br /> <br />A motion was introduced by Councilmember Patrick introduced a motion to approve the Archery Deer Hunting <br />application at 7 & 11 Daniels Farm Road, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />1270 Goose Lake Road <br />A permit request for a hunt on private property located at 1270 Goose Lake Road was received. The requested <br />dates of the hunt will be November 7-9, and November 21-23. The hunting party consists of 5 hunters, all of <br />which have obtained their Bow Hunters Certification and a MN DNR Hunting License. Deer stand locations <br />were given and consent of neighbors has been received. <br /> <br />A motion was introduced by Councilmember Johnson introduced a motion to approve the Archery Deer <br />Hunting application at 1270 Goose Lake Road, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />Future Charitable Gambling Donations <br /> <br />White Bear Lake Emergency Food Shelf <br />Mayor Artig-Swomley suggested that the Council make a request in October in the amount of $1,500 to the <br />White Bear Lake Emergency Food Shelf. <br /> <br />A motion was introduced by Councilmember Patrick to request a donation in the amount of $1500 for the White <br />Bear Lake Emergency Food Shelf, seconded by Councilmember Johnson.
