Gem Lake will participate <br />with a community gathering at Heritage <br />Hall, starting at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />"Night to Unite" is designed to generate <br />participation in local anti-crime programs, <br />strengthen neighborhood spirit and police- <br />community partnership, and heighten crime <br />and drug prevention awareness. Last <br />year's "Night to Unite" campaign involved <br />citizens, law enforcement agencies, <br />neighborhood organizations and local <br />officials from over 15,000 communities. In <br />all, over 37 million people participated in <br />2011 event. <br /> <br />Gem Lake invites residents to meet their <br />neighbors, gather crime fighting <br />information from the Ramsey County <br />Sheriff and enjoy food and refreshments <br />from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on August 7 at <br />Heritage Hall. Mark your calendar now. We <br />hope to see you then. <br /> <br />"Night to Unite" is August 7 at Heritage Hall <br />th <br />City Audit Completed Without Drama ....Again <br />Gem Lake's 2011 audit is now complete and <br />the results are pretty boring. Nothing had to be <br />corrected, reclassified, reassigned, adjusted or <br />removed from underneath someone's mattress. <br />No one had to be issued with an arrest warrant, <br />pulled from the local casino or located at their <br />tropical hide-out. City Council Members were <br />given a complete presentation of the results at <br />the June 19th City Council Meeting. <br />The audit was conducted by CliftonLarsonAllen <br />LLP, who also did the 2010 audit. According to <br />Tom Koop of CliftonLarsonAllen, the result was <br />what is called an unqualified report, which is <br />good. Auditors found that the financial <br />statements of the city presented fairly in all <br />material respects the true financial position of <br />the city. (continued on page 3) <br /> <br /> <br />
