The <br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has <br />additional information at www.dnr.state.mn.us. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Shallow Lakes Seminar of <br />Interest in Gem Lake <br />Vadnais Heights Approves Initial <br />Funding for Sports Complex <br /> <br />The development of a large sports complex at the <br />southwest corner of Highway 61 and County Road <br />E edged one step closer to reality on March 8 when <br />the city's Economic Development Authority voted <br />initial approval for $26.5 million in revenue bonds to <br />finance the project. <br /> <br />Final approval is scheduled at the city council <br />meeting on March 16. The complex will include <br />multiple ice skating rinks, spectator stands and <br />other related services. The project, if fully approved, <br />is scheduled to open in November of 2010. <br />
