City is required by the Metropolitari Coundil to update the Comprehensive Plan. The City prepareda draft.Comprehensiye Plan and sent it into the Metropolitan Council for preliminary.revieiv on August 29; 2018. The. Metropolitan Council provided.a set of comments and required revisions. -On January 18, 2019, the City sent out the plan to the required list of adjacent communities and aii'eoted jprisdictions. The -City received some more. minor comrrrents and requested revisions.retwed to.this review: Based on the. revisions associated with this review NAC and S1 H have completed all requested revisions. At this point, the plan is ready to be submit ted to. the Metropolitan Council for formal review. Prior to sendint the plan in for formal review,. the City must ltolrl a.public licaring and adopt a resolutiori'authorizittgsubmission. to the Metropolitan Council. PLAN RE'V'ISION$ The pfiW0.9I*mAsions made were technical in.nature throughout the plan.'The Metropolitan Council wanted more specific information on the location of new housing units in the City. The City's goal was to provide the required units within the Gateway. Mixed Use Area, The City's.adopted. zoning regulations and. policies were more clearly stated in the plan as,to how and when the units aree to be provided, Tfie section of the plan that includes housing was slightly modified, as well, to include -a required table of "common housing tools. This table is needed to list common housing tools used it the area and wlieii.tlle City would.specificaliy use these.topis; The.table was intended to reflect existing City policies. NEXT STEPS New comments and requested revisions may be provided to tl�e City and will be addressed as received: Upon addressing any future comments, the: City will need.to pass another resolution placing the.platt into effect. This will likely occur in the next few months.
