It is my pleasure to inform you that your project has been selected to advance to the next stage <br />of the Appropriations process. <br />Under the: rules designated by the Republican Majority on the House: AppropNations Committee; each: <br />Member of the U.S. House of Representatives was limited. to nominating 15 projects for funding this <br />year: Selecting amongst the manyworthwhile projects proposed to: benefit Minnesvta.'s Fourth District <br />was extremely difficult. <br />This year, my office nominated projects that appear to have the highest probability of being:chosen for: <br />funding by the .Cornmittee based.on the criteria outlined by the Republican Majority. Republicans <br />imposed many additional. restrictions on the. accounts. and types of projects that were eligible for <br />funding. Regrettably,.a number of`the submissions that my office received this year were unable.to <br />advance because they.did not meet these narrower categories. <br />Projects that have been selected are. those most closely aligned. with the purpose of the accounts. <br />available, those with strong demonstration of comiaunitysupport, and those best able.to immediately <br />utilize funds.
