Zoning:Crdinance Amendment -Staff Report April 18; 2023 <br />Gem Lake City Council Page 2 <br />EVAULATION OF THE REQUEST <br />Consolidated Land Use Ordinance Requirements <br />Current requirements <br />As.noted previously, Section 15.covers the Institutional Overlay zoning.district. Section 15.2..2 lists the <br />requirements for uses such as the WBMS; Section 15.5 covers the lot requirements for parcel within the <br />Overlay. The table below summarizes the current standards, as well as the amendments <br />requested/proposed by the: applicant,. There is. also a copy of the current ordinance text with redlines of <br />the proposed text included after this: report, for further reference.. <br />Table I: Current and Proposed Standards for Section 95 <br />Ordinance Section <br />Current <br />Proposed <br />Section 15.2.2(B) <br />"total enrollment. of not less than <br />25 nor more than 15.0" <br />"A maximum of one hundred <br />Section 1.5.Z2(C) <br />twenty (120.) (D). 15.2.2(13) sets an overall enrollment. limit of 1.50, while 15.2.2(C). sets the. maximum number of <br />`full day students.' at 120. 15.2.2(D).defines a `full day student', which references the 120 amount, The <br />applicant's request is for a maximum of .182 students; a redlined copy of the.current ordinances with the <br />proposed increase is included .as an attachment for the cor imissioners to .consider. <br />The Institutional Overlay is unique in that in addition to setback requirements it sets specific limits on the <br />lot coverage for structures, and sets :a minimum amount of .open space. thatis to be provided on a lot <br />within the overlay.
