City of Gem Lake, MN <br />Resolution No. 2023-a423 <br />November 21, 2023 <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACES FOR THE 2024 ELECTIONS <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota.. Statute 20413.1.6 requires: the City Council to designate polling.places for the <br />upcoming yearby resolution;.and <br />WHEREAS; changes to the :pol1 ng.places locations. may be made at. Icast 90 days before. the. next <br />election if olie or more of the:authorized polling places becomes unavailable: for use; and <br />WHEREAS, changes to the polling places locations may be made in the case an emergency when it is <br />necessary to ensure a safe and secure. location for voting; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, -BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Gem Lake hereby designates the <br />following polling places for any elections conducted in the City in.2024: <br />Heritage Hall, 4200 Otter Lake Road; Gem Lake, KIN 551.10 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,.that the City Clerkis hereby authorized to designate a replacement <br />meeting the requirements. of the Minnesota Election. Law for any polling place designated in. this. <br />Resolution .that becomes unavailable for use by the City; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that. the City Clerk is hereby authorized to designate an emergency <br />replacement po11ing.place meeting the requirements: of the Minnesota Election Law for any .polling place <br />designated. in thisResolution when necessary toensure a safe and secure location for voting; and <br />BE .IT FU.RTHCR RESOLVED, that the .City Clerk is directed to: send a copy of this:. Resolution and <br />any subsequent palIing place: designations to the Ramsey County Elections.
