City of Gem Lake, MN <br />Resolution No. 2023-0011 <br />June 20, 2023 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO FILE AN APPLICATION WITH <br />THE MINNESOTA MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET OFFICER FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM FUNDING. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Management and Budget Office, has released application instructions for <br />local governments and political subdivisions for 2024 capital budget requests; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake has need for and intends to significantly improve its Municipal Water <br />System in the community; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all requests must be made to the Minnesota Management and Budget Office by June 16, <br />2023; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake has identified this project as its number one priority; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Engineer through actions of the Mayor and City <br />Council, is hereby authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the City of Gem Lake, with <br />the Minnesota Management and Budget Office for the project described above. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember Lindner and <br />supported by Councilmember Cacioppo, and upon vote being taken thereon, the resolution passed with a <br />vote of 5 in favor and 0 against. <br /> <br /> <br />Whereupon said Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Gem <br />Lake, on June 20, 2023. <br /> <br /> <br />BY: ATTEST: <br /> Gretchen Artig-Swomley Melissa Lawrence <br />Gretchen Artig-Swomley, Mayor Melissa Lawrence, Acting City Clerk <br />
