City of Gem Lake, MN <br />Resolution No. 2023-0029 <br />December 19, 2023 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FINAL GENERAL FUND BUDGET AND FINAL <br />AMOUNT TO BE RAISED BY PROPERTY TAXATION FOR THE YEAR 2024 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has presented a TOTAL (Proposed) Budget of $664,512.00 <br />which includes a General Tax Levy of $612,663.00 and a Debt Tax Levy of $84,418.00 for fiscal <br />and calendar year 2024 based upon best estimates of costs for running the City of Gem Lake in <br />2024; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council did review, on December 19, 2023, the TOTAL Budget and Tax <br />Levy for 2024 including all revisions thereto as of the date first written. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake does <br />formally adopt the 2024 Final General Fund Budget of $664,512.00 and the Final Property Tax <br />Levy as follows: <br /> <br />General Property Tax Levy $593,082.00 <br />Debt Levy 84,418.00 <br />Fiscal Disparities 19,581.00 <br /> <br />Total Property Tax Levy $697,081.00 and; <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is charged with Certifying said Tax and <br />Debt Levy to Ramsey County Property Taxation and other government bodies for whom this <br />information is required. <br /> <br />The foregoing Resolution was offered by Councilmember Lindner and was supported by <br />Councilmember Cacioppo and was declared adopted based upon the following vote: <br /> <br />NAME ARTIG-SWOMLEY CACIOPPO LINDNER JOHNSON AMLEE <br />Vote Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes <br /> <br />Attest <br /> <br /> I, Melissa Lawrence, the duly qualified Acting City Clerk for the City of Gem Lake, County <br />of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a true and <br />accurate representation of action taken by the City Council of the City of Gem Lake on the date <br />first written. <br /> Melissa Lawrence December 19, 2023 <br />Melissa Lawrence, Acting City Clerk Date <br />
