City of Gem Lake, MN <br />Resolution No. 2022-009 <br />April 19, 2022 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ADOPT A PREVAILING WAGE <br />ORDINANCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake feels it is in the public interest that all public buildings and city <br />construction projects be done by the best means and with the highest quality labor reasonably available; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake policy is that wages of laborers, workers and mechanics on <br />contracted projects financed in whole by City funds should be comparable to wages paid by for similar <br />work in the community as a whole; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake City Council submitted a proposed prevailing wage Ordinance to the <br />City Council at the April 19, 2022 meeting; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Gem Lake, Minnesota, adopts said <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember Lindner and <br />seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo, and upon vote being taken thereon, the Resolution passed with a <br />vote of 5 in favor and 0 against. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br />I, Melissa Lawrence, the duly qualified Acting City Clerk of the City of Gem Lake, County of Ramsey, <br />State of Minnesota, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a true and accurate representation of <br />action taken by the City Council of the City of Gem Lake on the date first written. <br /> <br /> <br />Melissa Lawrence April 19, 2022 <br />Melissa Lawrence, Acting City Clerk Date <br />
