(g) <br />(h) <br />Public notification. Upon issuance of the first license, the applicant shall supply mailing labels for all properties within 150 feet of the property <br />on which the honeybees are proposed to be kept. An informational notice shall be sent to the property owners within 150 feet at the applicant's <br />expense. <br />Right of entry for inspections. The animal control officer or city administrator's designee may enter and inspect any property licensed <br />for the keeping of honeybees at any reasonable time for the purpose of investigating an actual or suspected violation to ascertain <br />compliance or non-compliance with this section. <br />Violation and penalties. When a violation is found to have occurred, the officer or agent of the city shall give written notice thereof to <br />the owner. If said violation is not remedied within ten days, the city may issue a citation to appear in district court to answer the <br />charges stated thereon. Any owner found violating any of the provisions of this section shall upon conviction be guilty of a <br />misdemeanor punishable by a fine. Any conviction shall result in the revocation of the permit by the city council. <br />(Ord. No. 694, § 2, 4-1-13)
