Gem Lake – Ordinance Updates <br />Gem Lake Planning Commission <br />July 9, 2024 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Proposed New Ordinance <br />Ord. No. 146 combined the above liquor ordinances. Content updates are aligned with state statutes. Changes <br />proposed include revising the definitions to include references to terms in state statutes , removing references to <br />fee amounts and placing them in the Fee Schedule (Ord. No. 135), and adding measurable distance requirements <br />regarding locations. Significant proposed changes are listed in Table 1. <br /> <br />Table 1: Most Significant Proposed Changes <br /> Current Proposed <br />Title “Non-Intoxicating Liquor” and <br />“Intoxicating Liquor” <br />“Liquor” <br />Definitions N/A Includes intoxicating liquor, non-intoxicating liquor, <br />and liquor (both).
