The CityClerk will notify the Federal Aviaiion Administration.(FAA) <br />and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) of any <br />structure to- be constructed within Gem Lake that .may affect <br />navigable airspace. <br />There: presently are no structures In Gem Lake that are 200 feet. or <br />greater.in height. The. existing ,zoning ordinance does not allow any <br />sign orbtulding to exceed 36 feet in height. <br />However, height. limitations -do not apply to barns, silos, -and other - <br />structures on farms; church spires, * belfries, cupolas and domes; <br />monuments; chimneys and smokestacks; flag poles,,publ c and public <br />utility facilities; .transmission towers. of commercial radio <br />broadcasting station; television. ani 4nas, and parapet walls.extending <br />not more than four feet above the *iii'niting height of the building. <br />61.2 Future Roadwsy System <br />6.2.1 Roadway Changes <br />Roadway changes recommended by the 1345E corridor, study and <br />included in the planning of the governmental. -units include: <br />-A. Major redesign and rebuilding ofthe I 35FA-6.94 intersection and <br />commons area. <br />B:. Connection of White. Bear Parkway and Labore Road. <br />C. Realignment of the Otter Lake/County Road F connection. <br />D. County Road E td. n.lanes. at U.S. Highway 61 and Labore Road. <br />Another potential. change in the Gem Lake. roadway system may <br />involve Scheuneman Road'at the. intersection of U.$. highway..61. <br />In all instances; the citizens. -of Gem Lake have a high interest that <br />changes be desigped and constnReted in a manner which enhances the <br />.attractive environmentally. nattuml residential. nature of the City of <br />Gem.Lake, <br />Comprehensive Plan <br />Gem Lake, Minnesota Page 36 <br />
