Any home occupation shall be clearly incidental and secondary to the residential <br />use of the premises,. should not change the residential character thereof, and shall <br />be compatible with the surrounding residential uses. <br />• No home occupation shall require internal or external structural alterations or <br />involve construction features not customarily found in dwellings except where <br />required to comply with local and. state fire and policy recommendations. <br />There shall be no exterior storage of equipment or materials used. in the home <br />occupation, except personal vehicles: <br />• No home: occupations shall be conducted between the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 6:30 <br />a,m., Monday through. Friday, after .6:0.0 p.m. on Saturday or at any time on <br />Sunday; or unless said occupation is contained entirely within the principa[ dwelling <br />and will not. require any on -site parking facilities. <br />■ Sewer and water use and refuse generation shall not exceed normal residential <br />use. <br />• Any construction, alteration, or electrical or mechanical equipment shall not <br />change the fire rating of the structure. <br />■ The maximum number of business visitors. shall not exceed eight vehicle trips per <br />60 minute periods or 20 vehicle trips per day. One vehicle trip shall include both <br />arriving and. departing, <br />• Gatherings for the purpose of selling merchandise, taking orders or providing <br />training for sale or marketing shall not be held. more than twice per month and shall <br />cease prior to 9:00 p.m. and shall not have more than ten passenger automobile <br />with not more than six passenger automobiles parked on the street with all on - <br />street parking to occur on one side of the street only. <br />• Transferability. Permits shall not run with the land and shall not be transferable. <br />• Lapse of Special Home Occupation Permit by Nonuse. Whenever within one (1) <br />year after granting a permit the use as permitted by the permit shall not have bean <br />initiated, then such permit shall become null and void unless a petition for <br />extension of time in. which to complete the work has been granted by the City <br />Council. Such extension shall be requested in writing: and filed with the Zoning <br />Administrator at least thirty. (30) days before the expiration. of the original permit.. <br />There shall be no charge for the filing of such petition. The request for extension <br />shall scat® facts showing a good faith attempt to. initiate the. use.. Such. petition shall <br />be presented to the Planning Commission for a recommendation and to the City <br />Council for a decision. <br />• Inspection. The City of White Bear Lake hereby .reserves the right upon issuing <br />any home occupation: permit to inspect the premises in which the occupation is <br />being conducted to insure compliance with the provisions of this Section or any <br />conditions additionally imposed, <br />• No home occupation shall have an adverse effect on adjacent properties due. to <br />excessive traffic or offensive noise, light, odor, dust or other noxious substances. <br />If the home occupation will require a delivery service, such as LIPS., no more than <br />3 <br />
