City of Gem. Lake <br />Planning Commission Meeting —April 6, 2021 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Acting Planning Commission Chairman Don Cummings called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. <br />Commission members Don Cummings, Stephanie Farrell, Joshua Patrick and Art Pratt were. <br />present, commission memberDerrick Wippich was not able. to attend. Also present: Jim Linder, <br />City Council Member,. Gretchen Artig-Swomley,, Mayor, Patrick.Kelly,. City Attorney, Tom <br />Riedesel, City Planner and Zoning Administrator, Melissa: Lawrence, acting City Clerk and Paul <br />Emeott, Resident:. <br />Old Business <br />Cummings reported that he had:received all but one planning commission member's code of <br />ethics statements in to him and planned to turn in all paperwork to the city clerk within the next <br />couple ofweeks. <br />Public. Hearings <br />None <br />New Business <br />I. Review.. ofthe.City of Gem Lake Home Occupation regulation intent and supporting <br />ordinance .language; <br />Riedesel read .off the Home Occupation Regulation Ordinances. from surrounding cities. <br />The planning committee discussed the reports and agreed :that they were worried. about <br />excessive traffic, visitors, and Hours of operation. Riedesel felt that Gem Lakes ordinance <br />was good but could possibly have some slight changes made. <br />After discussion Cummings asked Riedesel to write suggested new Ianguage tightening: <br />up the ordinance to include more specific guidelines on traffic, visitors and hours of <br />operation, A summary .of this will .tie presented to the council on April`24th for further <br />action. <br />Z. The planning.commission. decided. that at future meetings they would look: at the <br />• CUP Process <br />• Update of Permitted Uses in the Gateway District <br />• Update on the current state of the Comprehensive Plan <br />Other open items from Commissioners or Council representatives <br />None <br />Workshop with City Council <br />Workshop, April 1.2, 202.1, cancelled <br />
