e° 8. 44 et;_ : <br />a E 1 24 ,t -44 <br />FRIT Np•3iwv5414 <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO <br />AGREEMENT FOR <br />LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the parties entered into an agreement for the provision of <br />law enforcement services by COUNTY for MUNICIPALITY commencing January <br />1, 1993; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the agreement as follows; <br />1. Paragraph II. 5. is amended to read as follows: <br />5. The COUNTY agrees to maintain, during the term of this <br />Agreement, automobile, general liability, workers' <br />compensation, and professional liability insurance in <br />amounts deemed appropriate by the COUNTY through its Risk <br />Manager. The COUNTY shall name the MUNICIPALITY as an <br />additional insured on these policies except for the workers' <br />compensation policy. The MUNICIPALITY agrees to pay, as a <br />part of the actual cost as provided in Section IV. below, a <br />pro rata share of insurance costs. These costs shall <br />include the costs for any assessments and credits for any <br />dividends by participating in any insurance pools or trusts. <br />By electing to participate in a pool or trust, the <br />MUNICIPALITY agrees to remain in the pool or trust as <br />required by pool or trust bylaws and/or agreements. The <br />COUNTY may elect to self -insure all of any portion of these <br />risks. If the COUNTY cannot obtain insurance and/or elects <br />to self -insure, the MUNICIPALITY shall pay a pro rata share <br />of the costs of self-insurance. insurance costs as they <br />relate to insurance coverage shall include premiums and <br />deductibles. Costs of self-insurance shall include <br />reserves, claims and damage payments, and administrative <br />costs required to maintain self-insurance. <br />2.
