<br />City of Gem Lake Comprehensive Plan GEMLK 140643 <br />Page 45 <br />6.1.1.2 Collectors <br />Collector streets include Scheuneman Road N., which provides access to Gem Lake Golf <br />Course and the residential area of Gem Lake, and Scheuneman Road S., which provides <br />access to the commercial/business area. Due to the recent closure of the Scheuneman <br />Road N. intersection with U.S. Highway 61, the reclassification of Scheuneman Road N. <br />to a Local Street may be warranted. <br />6.1.1.3 Local Streets <br />The remaining roads within the City are classified as Local Streets, principally serving <br />adjacent land users. These local streets comprise approximately 50 percent of the total <br />roadway mileage within the community.
