A proposed change that will be based on future <br />development is the installation of a traffic signal at the <br />intersection of County Road E and International Drive. <br />This will be coordinated with the City of Vadnais Heights <br />and Ramsey County when area growth dictates its <br />necessity. <br />As with all roadway changes, the citizens of Gem Lake <br />have expressed a desire for quality design and construction <br />that enhances rather than detracts from the existing natural <br />environment. <br />Traffic Forecast <br />Year 2030 Daily Traffic Forecasts from the Met Council <br />Regional Traffic Forecast Model are: <br />• County Road E 24,000 <br />• Highway 61 35,100 <br />The following socio-economic date was input into the <br />model concerning Gem Lake. The City lies entirely within <br />Traffic Assignment Zone (TAZ) 992.
