( THE ONE -HUNDRED AND SECOND MEETING OF THE VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE <br />XXXXXXT <br />COUNCIL - FEBRUARY 26th, 1968 - HOFFMANS CORIZRS HALL. <br />1. THE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8:10 PM. <br />2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />Present - Henry Hoffman, Eileen Bigelow, R. Arcand, John <br />Morgan and Victor Knutson. <br />also present Dick Hansen and John Birkeland. <br />Absent - John Ward. <br />3. THE CLERK READ THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD <br />JANUARY 22nd, 1968, moved by Hoffman and seconded by Arcand <br />that same be approved as read. All ayes. <br />1�. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR. none. <br />5. REPORTS OF COM1,1ITTEES <br />a.. In the absence of Judson Bemis,Morgan reported that Bemis <br />had told him that the report from the Midwest Planning & <br />research would be ready for submission at the March meeting. <br />Hansen asked if there would bea meeting of the planning com. <br />and Morgan stated that he presumed that there would be. <br />6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - <br />a. Hoffman moved and Morgan seconded that the salaries of all <br />village officials ( now receiving salaries) be raised by <br />Aq the sum of ._�5.00 ( five ) dollars per month, to take effect <br />as of March lst 1968. All ayes. <br />7. NEW BUSINESS - X <br />a. Bigelow moved and Arcand seconded that the resolution with <br />regard to the bond to be changed from Ward to Knutson as <br />required by our insurance company be approved. All ayes. <br />b. Arcand moved and Bigelow seconded that Hoffman and Morgan <br />be the village repreentatives to the Ramsey County League of <br />Municipalitibex. <br />8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFCCERS. <br />a. The Clerk reported a balmnee of $2, 088.59 before payment of <br />bills below. <br />b. The treasuxrer reported a Bank balance of sa2,294-70. The <br />treasurer also reported that he had checked the check book <br />very carefully and that he believed that somewhere along the <br />line we had mislaid $27,00 ( Arcand thought that it might have <br />been a checked that bounced several years ago). Arcand moved <br />and. Morffan seconded that the new treasurer be authorized to <br />make an adjustment in his books of this s27.00 so that he <br />starts off with an even slate. all ayes. <br />c. Bills authorized were - <br />Ramsey County Treasurer - Police Oct.Nov.Dec. 713 4 392.26 <br />City Treas. W.B.L. fire for February 714 75.00 <br />Municipal Court for January 715• 56.37 <br />
