HLAiNSEN SECONDED THAT THE READING OF THE <br />MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING NOVEMBER 29th, be AND HERE3Y <br />AkE DISPENSED WITH - ALL AYES. <br />4.,PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR - None. <br />r • REPORTS OF COP'IMITTEES - <br />a. Chairman Bemis of the Planning Committee secured from <br />Midwest Planning and Research Inc, a recommendation Dbr <br />a change in the "SIGN" sections of Zoning Ordinance #5. <br />This amendment allows business signs pertinent to businesses <br />not located on the premises but within the Village of Gem <br />Lake. A copy of this amendment is attched to and made a part <br />of these minutes, as Moved byHansen and seconded by Hoffman. <br />kll ayes. <br />b. No action was taken with regard to the Gale of Snow -Vehicles <br />in the residential area on Scheuneman road. <br />c. Mayor Hoffman will advise the lady on Goose Lake road who <br />ha- two trailers on her property that the council acted tc <br />pLi-_it only one such trailer. <br />f UNIFINISHED BUSINESS - <br />;.NEW BUSINESS - Hansen moved and Arcand seconded that cigarette <br />licenses be issued to Roth,Ells D-X,Hoffman Market, Country <br />Lo$nge, Gem Lake liquors, Pioneer Drive in. All ayes. <br />b. Morgan reported that he had checked the books and that the bank <br />had supplied him with all the necessary information, and that <br />any errors that might show up would be minor. Dave Hoffman's <br />resignation as Treasurer was accpted by the council - all ayes. <br />8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS - <br />a. CLERKtS report of annual budget cp;aarisons is attahced hereto. <br />c. The current balance in the bank is after payment <br />of the authorizations noted below. Another y1,000 to 1,5GO <br />is also due in before the end of the year. <br />d.
