THIRTY-SECOND MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL APRIL 17th 1962 - HOFFI�IANS CORNERS HALL 1. MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8:25 PM 2. CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - PRESENT - H. Hoffman, Arcand,Gray, Morgan & D. Hoffman. ABSENT - Hansen. 3. CLERK READ MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING HELD MARCE 20th,1962 Moved by Hoffman and seconded by Arcand that same be approved as read. All Ayes, 4. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR - a. The Village electrical inspector Bob Cartier explained some of his problems, ore of which was the reed for a deputy inspector when Cartier was not available. This condition had occurred last summer and he asked the council to authorize the use of a deputy at that time and in the future. The following; resolution was moved by Arcand and seconded by Hoffman, all ayes - Resolved that the Village Electrical Inspector is hereby authorized tp appoint EDWARD SAiLVERDA as deputy inspector from August 1st 1961 until such time as a change is requested by said village electrical inspector. 5.REPORTS OF COiq�ITTEES - a. Morgan read his notes on the meeting of the Lake Area Planning Committee, held on April llth 1962, 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - a. Though the Kart Track operators have not yet asked for a 10.62 permit, the Council felt that one should be issued. The Council has not received any complaints with regard to this operation. It was moved by Arcand and seconded by Gray that a 1962 permit should be issued and that a charge or license fee be made in the amount of $25.00 per annum. All Ayes, 7. NEW BUSINESS - a. Fire Season - Moved by Hoffman and seconddd by Gray that our fire chief Duesty LaBore be paid at the rate of 63.00 per hour and that workers be paid at the rate of $2.00 per hour - and that a notice be given to the village tkHxxx reviewing fire Ordinance #4 and designating a time for "PAINT UP" x "CLEAN UP" :. AND FIX UP week or weeks. All Ayes. The clerk and the Mayor were authorized to prepare such a notice. b. The follo-A ng cigarette licenses were approved :- Clarence Wild - 5 months. Henry Hoffman - 7 months. 8. REPORTS OF VILLIkGE OFFICERS - a. Treasurers report - Previous balance $42579.42 Receipts in mo. 320.30 Total 4,899.72 Disbursements 635.8 Current balance4.,-263.8w Adjustment to bank balance was noted.
