FIFTY - SECOND MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL DECEMBER 17th 1.963 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL 1. THE MATOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8:28 PM 2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - PRESENT - Hoffman, Hansen, Arcand, Morgan and Dave Hoffman. ABSENT - John Gray. Also present were Earl Labore and Art Birkeland. 3. MOVED BY ARCAND AND SECONDED BY HANSEN THAT THE BEADING OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 19th 1963 be DISPENSED WITH. All ayes. 4. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR. none. 5. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES. a. The clerk reported for the Planning Committee that the cost of eonsultation with Midwest Planning and Research on the Tousley Plan came to $227.14. The council felt that this was very much wor�rhile. b. The clerk was instructed to find out if the village could secure insurance to cover "fire calls". 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS :: �p a. Liquor License Ordinance. The clerk read to the council the short form liquor license ordinance recommended by the League of Minnesota Municipalities and corrected and approved by the Village attorney, Mr. F.WButler. Moved by Arcand and seconded by Hansen that same be approved as read by the counci1.All ayes. The clerk was instructed to publish same promptly. 7. NEW BUSINESS - a. Cigarette Licenses were approved as folluws :- Fred Roth - Hoffman's Food Market - Ellis D-X Station - Burlap LoAnge - Hamburger Eat. Moved by Hansen seconded by Hoffman. All ayes. 8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS - a. The clerk reported that he had written to Chenoworth, County safety engineer about the LaBore corner. b. Treasurers report - Previous balance i,662.07 Receipts 30.00 Total 19692-07 Disbursements 52 .71 Current balance lv167 .3 b. Bills authorized - City Tre-'surer - december fire #349 75.00 Sam Hane - December dump 350 10.00 N.W.Bell Tel Co Dec. sery 351 11.65 Midwest Plan & Res. Tousley 352 227.14 32379 9.
