SPECIAL MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 3rd, 1964 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL <br />CALLED BY THE COUNCIL AT MEETING HELD JANUARY 21st 1964 <br />1. THE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 7:15 PM. <br />2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PRESENT - H. Hoffman, Allen Hansen, Dick Arcand and John Morgan <br />ABSENT - John Gray. <br />Note: Also present were Art Birkeland, Anne Larson and Earle LaBore, <br />3. BUSINESS OF SPECIAL MEETING - <br />a. Moved by Hansen and seconded by Arcand that the follwoing <br />resolution be approved as read: - <br />"Whereas The Board of Ramsey County Commissioners did adopt a <br />resolution on December 30th 1963, revoking LaBore Road from Arcade <br />Street to Centerville Road as a County State Aid Highway No.61. <br />t 1A NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Council of the Village of <br />Gem Lake that the action of the Board of Ramsey County Commission- <br />ers revoking County RKU State Aid Highway No. 61 as set out above <br />within the corporate limits of the Village of Gem Lake, is, in all <br />things approved." All ayes. <br />b. Moved by Hansen and seconded by Arcand that the follow ng liquor <br />licenses be granted for the period of one year, under Gem Lake <br />Village ordinance #9, published January 2nd 1964, and subject to <br />the approval of the State Liquor Control Commissioner in the case <br />2 of the "off -sale" and police checks in the case of the "on -sale"; <br />J "OFF -SIDLE" to Earl. La.Bore for kkx "Earle is Gem Lake Liquors" at <br />#3587 Hoffman Road, and "ON -SALE" to Art Birkeland for the "Burlap <br />Lounge" at 3590 Hoffman Rpad, applications having been duly rec- <br />eived and examined by the Gem Lake Village Council. Ali ayes. <br />I�. OTHER BUSINESS - <br />a. Moved by Arcand and seconded by Hansen that Mr. Hall be appointed <br />heating inspector for the balance of this year. <br />5.
