GEM LAKE VILLAGE -- FIFTEENTH MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />AT HOFFMAN'S CORNERS HALL - NOVEMBER 15th 1960 at 8:25 PM. <br />1. THE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8:25 PM, <br />2. Mrs, Birkeland - Acting clerk - called the roll, <br />PRESENT - HOFFMAN, HANSEN, GRAY, ARCAND AND BIRKELAND <br />ABSENT - AORGAN <br />3. CLERK READ THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING, HELD OCTOBER <br />18th - MOVED BY ARCAND AND SECONDED BY HANSEN THAT THE MINUTES <br />BE AND ARE APPROVED AS READ. ALL AYES, <br />. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES - Clark reported that Howard Dahlgren of <br />Midwest Planning and Research had been called and would submit <br />a proposal shirtly. <br />5, UNFINISHED BUSINESS FROM LAST MEETING --f none. <br />6, NEW BUSINESS - Clarence Wild (sheriff) suggested that we get a <br />sign east of the bridge on East Couhty Rd E (State Highway #244) <br />to say spppd enforced 40 mph Gem Lake Village to slow traffice. <br />Suggested we see Bill Chenoweth - county safety engineer. <br />MOVED BY ARCAND AND SECONDED BY GRAY THAT JOHN MORGAN CONSULT WITH <br />THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT WITH REGARD TO SPEED SIGNS. ALL AYES. <br />7. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS. - <br />TREASURERS REPORT - current baleene - $2,959.82 <br />CLERKS REPORT - the following officers were elected to village <br />positions on Nov. 8th 1960 to take office on Jan lst 1961. <br />Mayor - Henry L.
