Fake <br />Special Events Policy <br />Whereas, the City of Gem Lake receives request from organizations for special events that are <br />held in the City of Gem Lake, the following policy is hereby established- <br />ICY <br />All special events within the city limits shall. require City Council approval. <br />Z. Applicants: shall submit a written request explaining their request, including the date,. <br />time of day, maximum number of attendees, responsible person (name and day time <br />phone.number); and all streets they are requesting to use duruig the event. <br />3. The applicant shalt submit a Certificate of Insurance: for General. Liability, in the <br />maximum amount provided by law, name .the City of Gem Lake .as an additional. <br />insured for the event. Certificate shall be.stated as follows: "City of. Gem Lake, its <br />officers, employees and assigns". <br />4. Applicant's request shall include a statement regarding. their contact with approval (if <br />required) from all. agencies that may be involved with the event (i.e. White Bear Lake <br />Police. Department, Ramsey County Public Works, White Bear Lake Fire Department, <br />etc). <br />5. Applicant shall provide route notificationto. the residents and businesses in the affected. <br />neighborhoods by way of temporary signs. along the route; as .directed.bythe City of <br />Gem Lake, a minimum of 5 days in advance of the event. Spraying paint on roads, <br />telephone poles: and sidewalks is prohibited -chalk is acceptable. Permanent Toad <br />signage such as.speed limit signs. and. -directional signs shall not be -covered by event <br />signage. <br />5.. Applicant shall be. responsible for Mean -up of all debris; litter, etc. resulting from the <br />event. Applicant shall remove all temporary signage immediately after the.'event. <br />7, Ain of the above information must be.submitted to the City of Gem Lake office at <br />minimum of 30 days prior to the City of Gem Lake city council meeting at which the. <br />application will be considered. Incomplete applications will not be. considered. The 30 <br />day requirement may be waived by the City Council by petition of the applicant for <br />special circumstances. <br />S.
