WUNNESOTA ORDINANCE NO.134 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING A1ND REPLACING ORDINANCE #85,.*REGARDING THE PURPOSE OF REGULATING HOME BUSINESSES, HOME MERCHADISE SALES AND OTHER HOME OCCUPATIONS The City Council of the Cityof Gem Lake hereby oxiiains:that*Ordinance No..$5 shall:be repealed and replaced with the following: Section 1.0 Definition 1.1 fiprne Occupation -.A use incidental and secondary' a property .s primary residential use. A home occupation use shall not change .the residential character of the property or the neighborhood; and shall meet all applicable legal requirements. Section 2.0 Pur ose and Intent 2.1 The intent of -this Ordinance is.to allow opportunities for home based work with other uses permitted in the. residential districts and to assure peace, quiet and domestic tranquility within residential neighborhoods.. Section 3.0 Permitted Horne Occupations: 3.1 Home Occupations not:.requiring a License or Permit 3.1.1 Home Occupations meeting the following criteria are not required to have a license or permit issued by the City: (A) :Occupations that -take place indoors and generate no traffic, and create no nuisances or ndises asnoticed from the street or adjacent properties. 3.2 Home Occupations requiring a License 3.2.1 Home Occupations shall require a Special Home Occupation license if any of the .following criteria apply: (A).Odcupations that have one non-resident employee working on -site at one time. (13.)
