City of Gem Lake. <br />City Workshop.— August 8, 2022 <br />Meeting Minutes. <br />Mayor Artig. Swomley called the Workshop to order at 7:05 purl. Councilmembers Lindner and: Johnson <br />were present. Coultcillriembrs Cacioppo and Alrilee were not present. Also present; City Altorriey stand- <br />in Kevin Beck, City Enaineer.Justin Gese, Community Development Specialist Kristin Prososki, Senior <br />Water Engineer Richard Parr and, resident Rick Bosak. <br />New Busieiess <br />Discussion mid Development of Agenda by the City Council for the September Winter <br />Summit <br />CityEngineer Justin Gese, Senior Water Engineer Richard Parr and Community Development <br />Specialist. Kristin Prososki gave a presentation on the infrsstructure and funding. options available <br />for a municipal water system project in Gem Lake. Areas of discussion included: <br />Street and Utility Infrastructure Needs <br />• Street and Utility Design Life. <br />• Project Costs <br />• Potential Water System Needs <br />• Project Funding <br />Project Development <br />Next Steps <br />The presentation helped the Gougcil.get a better. understanding of -what would need. to .Happen in <br />order to conduct this project.. Financing options are available to apply for if the City decides to. go <br />ahead witlrthe project, but the funding is not a guarantee and N-a very lengthy process that could <br />take'a eouple years.
