City Council Meeting —January 17, 2017 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Mayor Uzpen called the rrme.eting to order at 7:00 p.m. CounciImernbers Artig-Swomley, Bosak, Kuny and <br />Lindner were present. A <br />motion.was made by.Counciirnember Bosak, seconded by Couneilmember Lindner to approve the <br />amended agenda for.January 17,..2.017,.motion passed. Agenda approved. <br />Minutes <br />Councilmember Artig-Swomley made a motion, seconded by CounclImember Bosak to approve the <br />minutes for. December 20, 2016, motion passed.. Minutes approved. <br />Committee Reports <br />No. committee reports, however Councilmember Lindner reported on the progress of the ordinances; <br />The group will be meeting again Moncla .January 23,. and at the February and March,. 2016, Planning <br />Commission meetings. <br />Old Business <br />Newsletter ideas — Goals for 2017, accomplishments. of 2016, newly elected officials, fee schedule, <br />liquor licenses, new Sheriff Update, comp plan/ordinances update; wed ding:at the Daniels Estate: <br />Public Hearing <br />None <br />New Business <br />Update from new :5heri f f.Jack Serier <br />Sheriff Sprier updated the council on progress. Within the Sheriff 5 Department in 2.016:. Highlights <br />included — Lexus/Nexus crime mapping tool; RMS system; PRIME (Positive Responsible Inmates <br />Managed Effectively) a irmanagement tool for inmates within the jail system, Fright Farrn over $100,000 <br />raised during the 2016 event, also encouraged citizens to utilize drop boxes for leftover or unused <br />prescription drugs. Boxes are located at 325 Grove, 5t. Paul,14..11 Paul Kirkwold Drive, Arden Hills and <br />North St. Paul City Hall, 2400 Margaret; Nardi 5t. Paul. <br />Resolution 2017-01-City Appointments <br />A motion was made by Councilmembe. r Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Bosak to approve <br />Resolutidn 2017-01 appointing individuals and firms to perform the functions necessary for supporting <br />City of Gem !Lake City Council Meeting minutes, January 17, 2017 Page 1 <br />
