City of Gem Lake <br />City Council Meeting --April 18, 2017 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 1;02 p.m. Councilmembers Artig-Swomley, Bosak, Kuny and <br />Lindner were present. Others in. attendance: City Engineer.Justin Gese, City Attorney Patrick Kelly, John <br />Birkeland, Greg Fry, Giorgi Gochitashvili and Paul Erneott, <br />A rii 18 2017 Agenda <br />A motion was made by Councilmember 6osak, seconded. by Co u nci [me m be r Artig-Swomley to approve. <br />the agenda for April 1.8; 2017, motion passed. Agenda approved. <br />Minutes <br />CounciImember Artig-Swomley made a motion; seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve the <br />minutes for March 21, 2.017, motion passed. Minutes approved. <br />Committee Re arts <br />No members of the planning Commission were in attendance, however Councilmember Lindner did <br />attend the Planning Commission meeting.and stated there.were no issues with the conditional use <br />permits reviewed; The planning commission are continuing their work on the comprehensive plan. <br />❑Id' Business <br />Newsletter ideas --comp plan update, hot dog with a d6puty,.new: land use ordinance; profile Derek <br />Wippich, Golden Acres, billing and dog licenses. <br />Public Hearin <br />None <br />New Business <br />Resolution Recoenizinq May 15 — May 26', National Police Week <br />Councilmember Lindner made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to approve the <br />Resolution recognizing.:May 15=May 20"', 2017, as National Pol1ce Week:. Motion passed, resolution <br />approved. <br />Conditional Use Permit - SGS Holding,1581 County Road B <br />SGS Holdings has requested.a conditional use permit f..or a storage sired for 1581 County Road. E. Shed <br />would store gardening/show equipment, display cabinets, a vehicle and; overflow items from the <br />business. Shed would not be attached to the current structure, will have no electric or water, class 5 <br />floor, concrete perhaps in the future. Structure is 40 feet away from Barnett`s property. <br />Councilmember Lindner made a motion based on the findings from the Planning Commission and the <br />City Counc'iI to approve the Conditional Use Permit for 5G5 Holdings, 1581 County.Road E, and Gem <br />Lake.
