CITY 01FGEM LAKE, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20.11- 03 <br />RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED <br />PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT <br />BE rr RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Gem .Lake,. Ramsey County, Minnesota <br />(the "City'), as: follows. <br />1. Pursuant. to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469,18:12 through 469.1815., as amended (the <br />"Act"), the City may grant an abatement of all or a. part of the taxes levied by the City on real property <br />within its boundaries (the "Abatement") and issue general. obligation bonds to finance the acquisition of <br />land to be used as a public park. (the "Abatement Bonds"); provided, however, that the City Council:first <br />holds. a. public, hearing. regarding the proposed Abatement. <br />2. The. City proposes to issue Abatement. -Bonds to finance the. costs .of acquiring. land. to be <br />used as a public: park within the City. <br />3. In accordance: with the Act, the City Council hereby calls. fora .publichearing on. Tuesday, <br />June:20.., 20.1.7, at 7.00 PM; to consider.the.proposed Abatementffor the purposes described lYierein. <br />4. The City Administrator -Clerk isauthorized and directed to publish a..notice of public: <br />hearing. in substantially the form set, forth in EXH031T A attached hereto in a newspaper of general <br />circulation in the City more than 10 but less than 30 days before the date of tho public hearing. <br />5. City staff and consultants are authorized to take all other actions needed to bring: the. <br />proposed Abatement and issuance of the.
